Maimonides Heritage Center sponsors and hosts one of Israel's most successful Sherut Le'umi programs. Each year forty women are selected out of over two hundred applicants to participate in our Midrasha Program. These young women perform their National Service in lieu of military service by conducting multiple community projects in Tiberias. These range from running Moadonim (After School Clubs) at the public school to assisting, leading educational programs within the schools, running youth programs and to hands-on involvement at the Bet Avot nursing home.
One day a week is spent at the center, studying, developing life-long skills and participating in the Elsi Levy Music and Arts Program.
